Angel Network Beneficiaries that were able to receive these donations can be summarized as follows:
The Jermaine Lungile Schmidt Foundation is a registered NGO operating in Gauteng, focuses on community and youth development and have been fortunate beneficiaries of the Angel Network SA for the past four years.
Our initiatives include the Eco Sense recycling project in the township of Alexandra, a soup kitchen, and an informal Early Childhood Development (ECD) program also in Alex. Additionally, we are launching an Edtech project that will operate in 100 schools across Gauteng.
In each of these endeavours, the Angel Network has provided us with the resources and support necessary not only to launch but also to grow and sustain our initiatives.
The Loving Classroom South Africa leads the way in Positive Relationship Education, working in partnership with schools throughout Johannesburg. Our initiative operates within both Primary and High School settings, aiming to cultivate nurturing environments within classrooms, schools, communities, and globally.
At the core of our program are eight fundamental virtues: Respect, Compassion, Listening, Kindness, Gratitude, Love, Friendships, and Care. By empowering educators to instil these virtues in children, we seek to address issues such as bullying, tardiness, disruptive behaviour, conflicts, and violence, ultimately fostering improved academic performance.
In addition to our primary objectives, we provide essential psychosocial support to both students and teachers. This includes access to services such as Psychological Therapy, Legal Documentation, Social Services, School Uniform provision, Stationery, Counselling for Drug and Alcohol Abuse, as well as guidance on HIV and AIDS.
Loving Classroom adopts a holistic approach, equipping children with the necessary tools to thrive as well-rounded individuals.
The Clive Mashishi Foundation, situated in the Vaal Triangle, closely collaborates with disadvantaged communities, offering assistance where it is most needed. They provide weekly meals to homeless individuals on the streets of Vanderbijlpark and Vereeniging, as well as aid in dignified burials for those unable to afford them, thanks to the generous support of The Angel Network.
With the assistance of The Angel Network, we have expanded our reach to other communities across various provinces, ensuring weekly meal provisions for our people.
