Our Morningside Community Collaboration
Introducing an Impactful Alliance Forged with Purpose and Passion:
At Morningside Shopping Centre, we are proud to announce our partnership with The Angel Network, Marketa Morningside Market, and Redlime Consulting. Together, we aim to make a meaningful difference by collaborating on CSI initiatives to benefit impoverished communities across South Africa.
Operating as a nationwide Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), The Angel Network is dedicated to alleviating poverty and social injustice. Through their unique approach of providing a hand up rather than a handout, they empower beneficiaries to become contributing members of society through upliftment.
Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, The Angel Network's reach and impact have significantly expanded. They have increased their assistance to over 150 non-profit organizations, providing substantial food relief and spending over R35,000,000 since the start of the pandemic. Their approach involves close collaboration with other NPOs, leveraging social media for fundraising, and partnering with corporates, individual donors, and community action networks.
Based in Morningside, they Operate nationally in Gauteng, the Western Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal, with branches established internationally, The Angel Network's pillars of operation include Education, Training, and Upliftment, Food Security and Sustainability, and Emergency Response, Rebuilding, and Restoring Dignity.
Through partnerships with organizations like the South African Jewish Board of Deputies, The Angel Network has been instrumental in hunger relief efforts, providing relief across all 9 provinces, reaching both rural and urban communities.
In conclusion, The Angel Network's comprehensive approach to addressing poverty and social injustice reflects its commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of thousands. As partners in this impactful alliance, we at Morningside Shopping Centre are honoured to collaborate with them and contribute to uplifting communities across the country.
